Level One

Becoming a IGM charter holder is a defining moment and exemplifies strong understanding of portfolio management to institutions. To keep our standards high it is important that all individuals interested in our programme meet the level one requirements.

Level One Summary

To become a level one candidate, you must pass the enrolment stage and pay all fees due. Successful candidates will then go through the level one training which will focus on macroeconomics and microeconomics. The purpose of this module is to build students understanding of economics within the financial markets.

Exam Format

The Level One exam will be a closed book exam which will entail the following types of questions:

 

Multiple choice  

Short answer  

Problem / computational

Case Study

Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam, the pass rate is 60%.
